There are two water systems in the RV. An onboard system with a 48 gallon storage tank and 12 volt pump. There is also a city water system that requires a water faucet connection. There is a water hose connector at the drivers side rear of RV for each system. It uses the faucets water and pressure to deliver water directly to the RV faucets and toilet. There is a pressure regulator provided that must be connected to either end of the hose.

I currently plug the city water intake as a temporary fix. Water pump that still worked was replaced with new one, still have water pumping back out the city water intake. I changed the impeller on the pump the system is tight as the pump builds up pressure and shuts off.

I run the water and there is water pressure for a few seconds an then little to no pressure. The ShurFlo water pump has a manual switch for operation and up until a few weeks ago after I replaced a leaking connector it worked just fine. Now when I turn it on, it just pumps water back out the exterior fresh water connection where we connect our hose. Any ideas as to the cause? The fresh water inlet is connected to a T with one side going to the galley faucet and the other side going to another T with one side of it connecting to the output of the pump and the other side going to the bathroom.

There are basically two ways to get the water into your RV… by connecting a hose to the city water inlet, or by filling your fresh water holding tank.
